T.S.T. Interview from the recent issue #19 of

Blood & Honour, Great Britain...

Tri State Terror Records are known all over the world as a label, which promotes bands with no nonsense lyrics. They are the forefront of the North American White Power Music Scene and have released CD's by bands such as the great Nordic Thunder, Blue Eyed Devils, Mudoven, Aggravated Assault, and Chaos88. The label is run by Ryan, a dedicated White Power activist who also played in the bands: Blue Eyed Devils, Sedition, Aggravated Assault, and Chaos88. He was also a big part of Nordic thunder before the untimely death of NT singer Joe Rowan (murdered by scum!). Well we thought we would check out what makes T-S-Terror tick......

B&H: Could you tell us why and when you started T-S-T Records?
Ryan: T.S.T. started around 1994. The first Release was Nordic Thunder "Final Stand" Cd. It was started as a option to release our own material (I was in NT at the time). Until that time, the main companies in the US that released racially conscious music were Resistance and White Terror/Wolfpack Records. I Think We wanted more control over the production/distribution of our music.

B&H: How many releases to date and which 3 have been the most popular?
Ryan: So far T.S.T. has released 23 CD's/Records. I guess the "best selling" releases have been the Nordic Thunder "Final Stand", BED "Holocaust 2000", & BED "Murder Squad"

B&H: In your view which has been your personal favorites?
Ryan: It's hard to pick and favorites, each release has its own merits. I guess my personal favorites are the Mudoven "Truth and Tragedy" CD, the BED "Retribution" CD, The Angry Aryans "Too White For You" CD, and the Infantry "Pro Death" 7" Ep. Is that diplomatic enough?

B&H:You tend to release more thrashy - straight to the point bands/lyrics- do you prefer this type of music and point blank lyrics approach?
Ryan: I have always been into aggressive music. I grew up listening to mostly punk/hardcore/metal type of stuff. I think that is reflected in the releases that T.S.T. has been part of. As for lyrics I think we need music that is straight foward in lyrical approach. We are not pacifists. Each band writes about what They believe in, and I don't censor anything. I may not agree 100% with everything that's on each release, but we all share the same general goals.

B&H: Have the lyrics attracted any media attention/police intervention in the USA?
Ryan: T.S.T. has attracted attention from various anti-racist groups. We've also had a few problems with customers. Nothing too serious yet.

B&H: How about Europe where our laws are much stricter then yours? Have T.S.T. dealers been persecuted?
Ryan: I know of a few instances where T.S.T. releases have been confiscated, I don't think I will go into any details.

B&H: Does T.S.T. manage to get releases into record stores?
Ryan: Some record stores will carry our releases, until there is a pressure from people who want to destroy freedom of speech. Since this is a capitalist country, if a product makes money someone wil sell it. As long as it does not draw negative attention to their business (which it usually does). So, most record stores will not carry our stuff.

B&H: What plans has T.S.T. for the upcoming few months ?
Ryan: We don't have anything lined up right now. I'm sure some new things will come about in the next few months.

B&H: If there are new bands out there do you encourage them to get in touch with you for a possible deal- just USA or Europe also?
Ryan: We would like to work with any racialist band with a heavier sound. T.S.T. is not a big label by any means, but we bust our ass to get things done. Send a demo or something.

B&H: Any closing comments?
Ryan: Thanks to B&H Exist to Resist.
